Scope

This policy applies to all faculty, staff, and individuals who provide instruction within the Â鶹ÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø Accelerated Online programs.

Policy

All faculty and adjuncts teaching in the Â鶹ÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø Accelerated Online programs are expected to use the learning management system, Canvas, provided by Ancora Education. Canvas offers a wide variety of features that faculty are encouraged to use for the benefit of their students, beyond the minimum standards for use as required below:

• Module publishing & organization

Content Personalization & Updates

• Course Overview page
• Module Overviews and Summaries
• Faculty Profile/Bio page in Canvas LMS and in Course

• Inbox / Messaging system
• Discussion boards

Assignments & Assessments

• Peer review settings
• Group assignments/projects- setup and monitoring in LMS
• Quizzes (if applicable)

Grading & Feedback

• SpeedGrader
• Gradebook

Interaction & Engagement

• Discussions boards
• Group spaces (collaborations, group work tools)
• Peer feedback workflows

Analytics & Tracking

• Course Analytics (student activity, participation, submission tracking)
• Gradebook analytics (late/missing assignments, low performance flags)

Support & Presence

• Office hours link embedded in course (Pages/Announcements/Syllabus)
• Q&A discussion forum or board
• Accommodation adjustments within assignment settings

Surveys & Feedback Collection

• Midterm survey

Escalation & Documentation

• Recording student outreach in Canvas Inbox or Notes
• Documenting escalation steps in course communication logs
