Lindenwood alumni and Shamrocks Pub n Grill owners, Kyle and Kelly Dent were awarded the 2024 Heart of a Lion Award, in October. The Heart of a Lion Award was established to honor those who work tirelessly and behind the scenes to improve the community, the university, and the lives of Lindenwood students.
The Â鶹ÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø Student Veteran Organization and Veteran Affairs Office partnered in a recent care package drive. Through this effort, 85 overseas troops will receive care packages thanks to the generosity of the Lindenwood community.
In November, three Lindenwood microbiology students traveled to Fulton, Missouri for the state branch of the American Society for Microbiologists’ annual meeting, with Associate Professor Dr. Chad Welsh. At the conference, Lindenwood students Olivia Fotiadis, Brooklyn Bumbales, and Ada Sardaña Sambola presented their multi-year individual research projects in which Fotiadis won second prize.
Â鶹ÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø has named Dr. Rooji Sugathan vice president, information management/chief information officer. With an impressive background in data management and analytics specific to higher education, Sugathan will join the Lindenwood community in St. Charles starting January 2, 2025.
Lindenwood women's volleyball (23-10, 14-4 OVC) was crowned the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament Champions after defeating #4 Morehead State by a final score of 3-0. It marked the first conference championship in program history at the Division I level and LU's most wins in a season since 2011.
With the sun setting by 5 p.m., the sight of 3,000 lights on a winter evening can be shocking. For the Â鶹ÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø community, this means Winterfest is here. Lindenwood’s annual holiday tradition, Winterfest, dates back to 1983 making it a mainstay for the community.
Â鶹ÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø’s community outreach endeavor, LindenGiving, is teaming up with OASIS Food Pantry for the fifth consecutive year to serve most essential needs of the St. Charles community, this Thanksgiving season. The partnership will provide 110 Thanksgiving meals to families in the St. Charles area.

The highly anticipated Fall Dance Concert is returning to the Lindenwood Theater, November 21-23. The fall concert marks the first of three annual shows produced by Lindenwood’s dance program. The concert’s theme is “the complexities of life and strength we draw from each other."
