ITEN is pleased to announce the addition of Emily Breedlove as an Entrepreneur in Residence (EIR). With more than 15 years of experience, Breedlove is committed to fostering equitable economic opportunity across America by empowering regions through data-driven strategic planning, public-private partnerships, and leading-edge community advancement practices.

Dr. Justine Pas, professor of English and faculty advisor for Lindenwood’s Honors Academy, was selected to participate in the 2021 Curt C. and Else Silberman Faculty Seminar.

LindenGiving, a community outreach endeavor, partnered with St. Charles Parks on Wednesday for a service project at DuSable Park and the Motorcycle Training Center. Volunteers from across campus gave their time to grounds clean up and trash collection to beautify the park space. In addition, volunteers painted three sheds on park grounds.

A new bridge partnership will provide direct transfer pathways for Lewis and Clark Community College students to earn a four-year degree at Lindenwood.

This semester, two Â鶹ÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø students painted a mural in the St. Charles Dunkin’ Donuts located on S. Fifth Street. The piece showcases the history and beauty of Lindenwood and St. Charles while representing the supreme talent of Lindenwood’s art programs.

The American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education (AACTE) has selected Â鶹ÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø to participate in the Consortium for Research-Based and Equitable Assessments (CREA). This new initiative, including 14 universities nationwide, will evaluate and recommend state policies in support of recruiting more diverse teacher candidates to the field and advancing equity best practices.

Lindenwood President, Dr. John R. Porter, awarded the inaugural President’s Distinguished Service Award to Dr. Cynthia Schroeder, dean of the school of health sciences.

Associate Professor of Psychology, Dr. Stephanie Afful, was the keynote speaker at the University of New England’s Center of Teaching & Learning’s annual event.

Â鶹ÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø announced Quentin Ortega as the new Director of ITEN. Although new to the role, Ortega has been involved with ITEN for many years as an Entrepreneur in Residence.

Lindenwood Student Government accepts nominations from students, and the LSG leadership selects one candidate for recognition. This year, John O’Hagan, associate professor of theatre, was recognized for going above and beyond.
